Volvo: V70 t5 Air con, climate control system, t5 air

I realise you ask for USA cars only but I need some help and I figure air con setup is similar in US and UK.

I have a v70 T5 2001 UK model, had it 2 months, took it to volvo and had air con fan replaced under recall, but problem started before that.

Aircon works for 10mins, compressor comes on for 7 secs then off for 7 secs and repeats this for about 10 minutes.

Then compressor clicks on for 13 secs, off for 6 secs for about 3 mins air still cold.

All this time the AC clutch relay located under bonet clicking on and off with compressor.

After total of 15 mins aircon goes warm, compressor not clicking at all,

If aircon left off for 10-15 mins or engine turned  off then it will work for about 3 mins then go warm,

Had it refilled cause thought that was problem, but still the same.

What could it be?

Hello Martin! I have seen the a/c compressor cause that problem. When the compressor shuts off, you will need to see if there is still power there. If so, the compressor is bad. Also, just have the dealer check for fault codes in the Climate Control System. It also may lead them in the right direction.
