Towing Issues: Towing of handicapped vehicle, florida statute, traffic court

Question
I have been told that it is illegal to tow a vehicle that  properly displays a registerd current disabled parking permit. We are having issues of parking at work and they are threatening to tow our vehicles that are parked in the lot in spaces that are or may not be marked for credit union use after hours. Tampa, FL

Answer
Well, parking lots which are not "public owned" do have some laws which affect them different when it comes to parking in handicapped spaces...

That being said, check out the link to a FAQ page on "some parking laws"

Also you can check out the sections referenced in there or

Florida Statute    316. 1955  or 316. 1959

There are "SO MANY" different issues here dealing with things including the different levels of permits it looks like and things..

I hope this helps, but you might be able to find more out following links to pages since you have all the "important answers" to the what if's it takes to answer and find the right info than I have.
