Volvo: Volvo S70 oil change, volvo s70, oil filter

I just bought a 2000 S70 recently.  In trying to change oil and oil filter, I can not remove the filter.  I called the dealership and they told me to use a plier to unscrew the housing.  I still can't do it because it's very slippery and tight.  Can you help?  Thanks.

If you can't get a grip on the filter, try pounding a large screwdriver strait through the body.  That way, you can rotate with the handle of the screwdriver and avoid the slippery body.  You'll ruin the oil filter of course, but you throw it out anyway.  Good luck!
