Volvo: 89 Volvo 760 turbo, fellow owners, volvo 760

hi Jason...I have a 89 760 turbo, my problem is when the weather is hot and the temperature gauge reaches the mid point(the car does not overheat) the car stalls and loose power, it also blows a bit of black smoke, I have cleaned all the turbo hoses. if you can guide me in the right direction as where to look and what to look for. thank you
