Volvo: 1988 740 GLE wagon door latch, interior door panel, door latch

We can't open the back passenger door from the outside, but can from the inside.  The latch on the outside moves freely, but the door doesn't open when we squeeze the latch.  How do we remove the interior door panel to see what is broken?  AND what is likely broken?

Hello! The door handle is most likely broken. The door panel is held in place with a series of clips and screws. It is very tricky to remove. I would have an expereinced technician do it for you. You can get a manual at www.volvotechinfo.com or ipdusa.com
