Volvo: Volvo S90 Air Cond. Air Not Blowing Through Vents, 1998 volvo s90, volvo s90

Question
Hi Jimmy,

Before I begin I just would like to say "Thank you!" for your advice and being available on this post.

I have a 1998 Volvo S90 with 80,000miles.  When I turn on the air conditioner I can hear the fan working but there's no air flow blowing out from the vents.  I've checked the fuse box located on the left-side of the front dash board and also the fuse box under the hood and the fuses appear to be okay.  Do you know what could be causing the lack of air flow to occur?

Thanks again!

Answer
Hello Vince! You are very welcome! All air flow is controlled by vacuum. If the control knob has no effect on the air flow, then you should check the vacuum controller on the r/s behind the glovebox. Also check the vacuum servos under the drivers side dash. Especially the floor/defrost servo. It is the only one with 2 vacuum ports.
