Volvo: ABS and Tracs, abs light, computer error

Hi Jason-

 YOu've helped me out in past. So i have another question for you. I notice today while driving home my ABS light came on and my Tracs Off light come on as well. My volvo is a '97 840. Can you help?

Unfortunetly when the ABS light comes on, there isn't much you can do, other than take it into the dealer to have the computer check your system out and search for error codes.  I would suggest checking your brake fluid level though, that might be the cause.  Check also for a mushy pedal when braking.  If the car drives the same and doesn't have low fluid levels, it is probably a computer error of some kind that needs to be identified by a dealer.  Good luck!
