Volvo: ETC warning light, 2000 volvo s70, volvo specialist

The ETC warning light has come on three time in the last month. It occurs when comming to a stop. The volvo will start to idle rough when the light comes on.. After turning off the car and restarting, the fault light goes away and the car runs fine. Suggestions? 2000 Volvo S70 68,000 miles.
