Volvo: Engine Light on S70, window switches, light bulbs

Question
We recently bought a 1998 S70.  The engine light came on so we went to have it checked at a certified Volvo technician.  He has installed a new O2 censor and a new air mass converion also and the light still comes on.  In one of your earlier responses you said "However the 98 S70 did have some electrical problems with bulbs and switches."  Could you expand on this statement and how it may apply to my situation?  I found out today the ECM was reprogrammed by the dealer in May of 1999.  Should we continue to pursue trying to get the light off or just drive the car with the light on?

Answer
Hello! I would suggest you repair the cause of the check engine light. What fault codes are present? The S70 tends to go through many light bulbs. Also, the head lamp switch and the window switches go bad. This will not cause a ck. engine light though.
