Volvo: radiator, replacement radiator, volvo owners

Question
My radiator has sprung a leak.  Instead of taking it to a garage I would like to order a replacement radiator - (i.e. radiators express) and put it in myself.  I've worked on a F-150 radiator that was pretty simple - change brackets and hose clamps and replace - no sweat - but this looks like a larger job.  Can you provide me with guidance or best place to find how to make the repair on line?  I really like my Volvo and was disapointed when the radiator went on me.

Since I have the 940 1994 model - not turbo are there specific years radiators that work and special considerations when ordering?  Thanks.

Karl

Answer
Although my expertise is with the 240 series, the 940 has essentially the same engine.  As far as the replacement itself goes, it still is a simple replacement, although on the 940, there might be more hoses to disconnect than on the F150.  There are two main brakets on the top of the radiator holding it in, once those are disconnected, you can slide it out.  As for a replacement, just make sure to purchase a new one, not a used one from a yard, those can have nasty buildup that is hard to detect.  A generic replacement brand should be fine.  If you want to request more detailed information, www.brickboard.com is a great online resource for volvo owners.
