Is the Volvo 850 Turbo 1995 one of the engines that can be damaged by a timing belt failure?

Hello Ron! Yes. This is an "interference" engine. If the timing belt breaks, it can cause MAJOR engine damage! If you have not replaced it, I would suggest you do. It should be replaced every 70,000 miles or 5 years. I hope this info helps.
