Volvo: S70 CD Player, volvo s70, microswitch

Hi I have a 99 Volvo S70 with Factory installed radio,cd,tape player. My problem is the CD player. It won't let CD's feed into it. I'm afraid if I force a cd in, I may not be able to get it back out. I was wondering if there is any troubleshooting that I can try first before I take it to the dealer? Also, is this is a simple repair?

Hello Alan! There is a tiny microswitch inside the radio that needs to be reset. It is a very common problem. It can be accessed by reving the radio and the plastic guide on the r/s of the radio. Look carefully through a small hole in the side of the radio to see it. A small screwdriver can be used to reset the plunger on the switch. It is not very easy to find. It may be best to let a Volvo techinician do it for you.
