Volvo: SRS system, srs system, 1992 volvo 240

Jimmy, How do I reset the SRS fault light on a 1992 Volvo 240? Air bag was removed to repair horn connection and in the process current was fed back through system and SRS fault light on the dash is now on.

Hello Pete! There is a test port on the center dash. There should be a cover that says SRS. You need to read the codes by grounding the test port 1 time for 1-2 sec. Count the flashes of the SRS light. To clear it, you need to ground the test port 3 times within 2 sec. It can be very tricky. You may need to do it a few times. It is best to take it to Volvo technician to do it for you.
