Volvo: Sway links for 2000 Volvo S80, 2 nuts, volvo s80

Question
Hi Jimmy. You know I've been having problems whenever I make those quick sharp turns. I really have to slow down to like 25 mph in order for me to make a the turn. I took it to the dealer and told me that my sway links are worn out and needs replacing. I have this Volvo for about 3 months now. I wanted to have this done through the dealer but they're asking way to much-$240.00 for the sway links change. I know I can change it myself. I have tools for suspension job and several other tools needed for auto repair. I did my suspensions before for my old car which is an Acura Legend. I can change it myself if you can please tell me the procedure on how to do it. I went to several bookstores, surf the internet and even went to Volvotechinfo but no available help for my 2000 Volvo S80. Please help Jimmy. Thank you...

Answer
Hello Nick! Is that for front and rear link rods or just front? They are very easy to replace. Each rod it held in with 2 nuts. You will need to hold the back of the rod to keep the nut from spinnig on the stud. It should take about 20 min. to replace front and rear link rods. Good luck!
