what is the proper way to check your gas milage?

Gas milage depends on where you travel. City is different than highway. It should also be noted you should change your air filter every once in a while and have the tires check. This saves gas. I am not 100 percent sure this is the way everyone recommends and for this ask your auto guy, yet I would say when you fill up click on the gauge and once your gas is empty, this is how many miles you get on your tank. You should do this and always double check that with the gauge just so you know it is working right. While it will not always be the same number for different roads it should be close. Ask your auto guy for more information and to double check this. Good luck
