4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: rear hatch lock re-install, rear hatch, assembly components

hi,just a small re-install problem.My key lock ,when i went to insert my key, fell inside the door.I removed the cover and now do i just remove the small panel with the orange electronics box on it and awkwardly reattach the lock? I'm thinking that it is just fastened with a locking threaded ring of sorts.Thanks for the help.

One of my standard answers.  

Purchase a repair manual at a local auto parts store.  These are reasonable, and contain information from electrical repair to body components.  They have pictures and step by step instructions on this type of replacement, along with most any other trouble shooting and repair instructions that you may need.

As many vehicles have different standards and assembly components, it would be very hard to tell you the method of repair without consulting a manual on your specific vehicle.
