4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 89 Bronco Dash Switch

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1989 full size Bronco with two switches on the dash that engage the four wheel drive.  One says 4 x 4 and the other says Low Range.  When I engage the buttons there are no lights that indicate they are working and you can hear a clicking noise in the passenger side quarter panel. The transfer case was just rebuilt.

ANSWER: Don, alot of the times the lights dont work but the 4x4 is still working , when you push the 4 high button and turn to the left or right does it buck? ADAM

QUESTION: I guess I wasn't clear.  The four wheel drive is definitely not working.  Iwas told that there is a module in the Passenger quarter panel and a motor on the transfer case and either could be bad. is there a way to check modules and motor?

Answer
Don , I would try tapping on the motoe with a hammer, and have someone inside try switching it , alot of times those motors have a tendancy to stick , and yes there is a control box somewhere but I have seen more transfercase motors go bad than anything , sorry for the delay I have been out of town ADAM
