4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 4runner, mileage vehicle, high mileage

Hi, I just purchased a 96 4runner v6.  I am looking to do some things to get it back into good shape performance wise and was wondering if you had any recommendations.  I would like to keep the mods on the cheaper side, but i would like to gain some torque or fuel economy.  If there is anything important i should do for a higher mileage vehicle let me know.

Dave, I would say , start with changing the plugs, wires, and the fuel filter, that would be the cheapest way to try to boost your fuel economy thanks ADAM oh and just make sure you srevice the high mileage vehicle regularly is about the only thing I can say as far as the 2nd part goes sorry 4 the delay I was out of town adam
