4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: The heater blower motor suddenly quit, gmc suburban, wiring switches

Question
The heater blower motor suddenly quit.

I own a 1991 GMC Suburban and today the heater blower motor suddenly quit.  The heater was functioning normally when suddenly quit.

I have been unable to get even a sound out of it since.  Can you give me some help?

Thanks,

Mike

Answer
Mike,

Check all the wiring, switches and the fuses.  It's quite common for a motor to go bad with this old of a vehicle.

Get a repair manual (around $20 at any auto parts store) and look up the trouble shooting section for the heater.

These manuals will give you all the information you would need to test the motor, and replace it if needed.
