4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 1985 jeep cj7 four wheel drive, manual hubs, jeep cj7

I just bought this jeep w/o an owners manual.  How do I put the jeep in 4 wheel drive?  It is 5 spd amnual.

Answer
Put the jeep in neutral and depress the clutch. the second shifter in the floor is the 4x4 shifter. Pull it one click towards you and then release the clutch. if there is no grining noise it is locked in. You may also have manual hubs on a CJ so you will have to go to each front wheel and turn the dial in the center to "lock". Put back in 2x4 in reverse order
