4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: oil in air filter, jeep cherokee sport, pcv valve

Question
i have a 1995 jeep cherokee sport. i am getting oil in the air filter . the pcv or ccv valve are good. the jeep dose not burn one drop of oil.

Answer
Shawn,

A small amount of oil is not too uncommon, but you may have some wear on the engine components, such as the rings, that are causing some back pressure.  This will cause a problem known as "Blow By", and will cause pressures in the crankcase, which can force some oil through the pcv valve into the air filter.  You should take the Jeep to a reputable shop, and have them run a compression test on the motor to see if some valve, or ring problems are starting to occur.
