4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 1999 Chev Suburban 2500 4x4 cabin filter?, windshield wipers, coolant leak

Question
Matt- 2 for 2. Got the fitting for the '99 Burb and the slow coolant leak is GONE. Thanks! All the little fix its are about done. One more minor question on the Burb. I bought cabin filters for it, identified by the year make and model vehicle. Checked the Owners Manual and can find NO reference to the Burb even having them. I changed my 2001 Yukon's filters in no time at all. So, the question is, are there cabin filters in the 1999 Chevy Suburban 2500 or do the filter makers just list them for this vehicle so we buy them and eventually throw them away out of frustration when we can't find where they should be installed. The Burb's dash area beneath the glove box is much different than the '01 Yukon, and not even remotely suggests what can be removed to access a filter. I've looked around on the net, but have not found anything. If they exist in this vehicle, are they in the front only? I saw something referring to some vehicles having as many as three filters. Would the '01 Yukon OR the '99 Burb have anything in the rear for the rear AC/heat system?

Answer
Joe,

some 99's had them and some didn't. I would probably guess that yours doesn't. If it has them it would be under the cowl grill under the windshield wipers. If you look in there and don't see any signs of it, I would get my money back

Matt

P.S- Glad to have helped with the coolant leak
