Nissan Repair: fuse on 1995 nissan pickup, nissan pickup, ac plug

I have a 1995 nissan pickup, the other day I plugged an ipod into the cig. lighter and blew the fuse to the ac and lighter. I changed the fuse to the ac/lighter the light came on for the ac plug in the cig lighter then they blew again now changing the fuse does nothing

Nissan uses some messed up lighter plugs.  So, replace the plug and you should be fine.  I have had this happen on more Nissans than I care to remember.  And, if possible I like to use an aftermarket lighter socket to preclude a short when using accessories in the future.  Heck, I like to go even one better and wire it to a hot wire all the time so the thing will work when the key is off.  You can pick them up for about $10 bucks at a parts store with a fuse to boot.
