4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Ford explorer intermitent not starting, starter solenoids, full tank

Question
I have a 96 ford explorer, and recently its is not starting intermittently. The battery is good, and the starter motor seams to be turning over fine, most times it starts straight away but a few times recently it just won't start at all. Its usually when the engine is warm as opposed to when its cold and it always bump starts straight away. it feels like its not getting any fuel through and it does have a full tank.. Any idea what could be causing this??

Answer
Gareth,

Fords still had external starter solenoids in those years. it may be close to the battery, follow the positive battery cable (RED) to the solenoid. These are cheap and easy to change just remember to disconnect the battery before doing anything.
