4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 2001 GMC Yukon Service Engine Soon light, gmc yukon, hypertech programmer

Question
I recently had my '01 Yukon serviced at the dealer, doing most of the 60,000 mile service. I saved a couple hundred dollars by performing the K&N filter cleaning, cleaning the MAF and throttle body with the correct products and per the instructions. I have a lots of experience with Jeeps and 4x4s, but have the dealer do the maintenance on my computer controlled GMC. So, after I put the MAF and air tube back on, I forgot to plug in the MAF connector, causing the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light to come on. There's no need to diagnose, just reset the dang light. I really don't want to have to go to the dealer for another charge, or even the miles to drive there. Is there any way I can reset it myself? I have a Hypertech Programmer and have modified the ECM parameters, could I use this somehow for resetting the light, or a combination of key on, mash the brake, stand on my head,  etc, like resetting the change oil light?? Many thanks.

Answer
Joe no problem,

On vehicles newer than 1996 it is as simple as disconnecting the battery. Take the negative cable loose off of the battery and let the truck sit for about 10-15 minutes for the computer power to drop off and just hook the battery back up and start. This should take care of your problem
