4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 1994 gmc 4x4 ball joint change out, gmc 4x4, upper ball joints

yes sir i'm having trouble changing out the upper ball joints on my  gmc 4x4 1994 1500 series, i got the bolts out and the bottom nut off but can't get the ball joint to come out, i have tried wedging it out but can't get a hammer under it because of the cvc joint.please help me as soon as possible.

I would purchase a repair manual for the GMC at a local auto parts store.  They cost around $20 and are needed for most home repair or trouble shooting.  This manual will give you step by step instructions along with photos of the removal process for your ball joints.
