4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: f-150 shift from park, fuse block, little time

Question
My 94 F-150 started not shifting from park until it has run for a couple of moments. I understand that there is a brake circuit interlock. I had blown a fuse a few years back and it wouldn't shift until the fuse was replaced. My wife watched for the brake lights which did not come on for a moment. Once they lit, it would shift from park so it's not a fuse.

Answer
Ken,

I would replace the fuse anyway.  You may have a bad or dirty connection in the fuse block.  The next thing you should check is the brake light switch itself.  It may be hanging up, or failing.
I would guess that the problem is the brake light switch due to the brake lights taking a little time to come on.  They should light up as soon as you touch the brake pedal.
