I have a 1988 S-10 blazer that has possible axle problems. I have an opportunity to acquire a 1994 S-10 Blazer. I really want to keep the '88 Blazer. Are any of the axle parts from the '94 blazer interchangeable with the '88?

I'm not familiar with all of the possible replacement alternatives for the S10.  You might contact a local wrecking yard, and ask them about the swaps.  If you are handy with a welder, and know a little about fabricating, you can swap most any parts into another vehicle.  If they have similar suspensions, then the swap should be fairly easy, and possibly a simple bolt in if you replace the whole axle assembly.
