4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 2003 Jeep/ CD stereo installation, jeep wrangler, no screws

Question
I have just bought a 2003 Jeep Wrangler hard door soft top and I would like to install a CD stereo in the Jeep.  I have all the items for installation wire harness, trim kit etc...  The question I have is how do you get the center portion of the dash cover off.  I see no screws or clips to remove it to access the radio housing area?  could you tell me please, all of the printed material says to take thee trim ring off the radio. This one does not have a trim ring on it. it is the whole center dash cover. I don't want to pull and break it.
Thanks,
Ryan Vigus

Answer
Ryan,

I haven't had a chance to work on a 2003 model yet, so I'm not familiar with the dash layout.  I would suggest that you purchase a repair manual for your Jeep.

A Chilton's or a Hayne's manual can be purchased at most auto parts stores for $20, and they have a lot of information on basic trouble shooting, and repairs.  They, also include step by step instructions on removal, and replacement of components, such as the dash components.  These manuals are designed for a year or range of years for specific vehicles, and are invaluable if you are planning on doing any repairs or intallations yourself.
