4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: power antenna, power antenna mast, antenna cable

Hey I recently had my power antenna mast replaced by toyota dealer. I have purchased a pioneer head unit, all is installed and works great however I cannot get radio reception. Its a 99 toyota 4 runner, I have the fender liner off checking the power antenna all seems fine except rust on the bracket. Could this be a grounding problem. Thanx.

It sounds like the antenna cable may have come unplugged from the radio itself, or came loose at the antenna when it was replaced.  Check the back of the radio, and see if you can trace out the antenna cable.  Grounding can cause some problems, but shouldn't kill the reception completely.
