Hummers: Busted Glow Plugs, combustion chamber, cucv

Question
Sir, My M1008 CUCV has 5 bloated glow plugs, We cant pull it out, is there anyway we can remove the plugs without opening the top engine cover? Honestly im not a mechanic and no one in my town knows how to do it. Im from the Philippines and it took me a year to get the new glow plugs (11-G) from the US. and I also hope this is the right plug and will work on my truck.
I thank you in advance for the information and GOD bless.

Answer
Audie,

You can clamp a pair of vice grips on the glow plug end (Hex portion)and use a pry bar to force the plugs out. If the entire glow plug does not come out you will need to remove the fuel injector and use pliers to remove it from the pre-combustion chamber while pushing it inward toward the pre combustion chamber. BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT LET THE PLUG END FALL INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE PRECOMBUSTION CHAMBER. If it does you will need to remove the cylinder head.
