Jeep: 97 grand cherokee alignment, grand cherokee, axles

Question
I have a 97 grand cherokee and it appears to me that the tires on the passenger side stick out further than the tires on the drivers side and I was wondering if the axles are adjustalbe from side to side and would an alignment solve this problem.  It doesn't appear to be much difference and I haven't had any problem with handling, it just looks off or is an illusion.

Answer
First does the jeep have a lift?  When one is lifted the track bar is not long enough and the diff will shift to one side.  Also the track bar could be worn out causing play and the jeep shifted to one side.  An alignment wont solve the problem, but it will be necessary if the track bar is replaced.
