I need a new rear wiper motor for a 98 Jeep laredo and was wondering what model/year (if any) was compatable with it.

Well, I'm not a parts guy, but I've got a listing for part #55155 040AB on a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo (ZJ). The same number is referenced (except for the AB suffix) for a 1997 GCL, but that's as far back as I can find. To be more accurate, give a quick call to the local dealers' parts department -- they should be able to tell you more, even if you don't want to buy from them! The GC changed from a ZJ platform to a WJ platform in '99, so very little crosses that way. It's very possible that it shares the same part as a '96 or earlier. Hope this helps!
