Jeep: jeep loud thump, loud thump, test drive

whenever i go offroading or hit a speed bump i hear a loud thump noise coming from the front driver side. it doesnt rattle but u can hear it hit. is this the bump stop or something else? its annoying the hell out of me

Take a look at you sway bar endlinks.  Pull on the hard and see if they move.  These go bad and get loose and often make noises.  Another way to rule them out is unhook the links and test drive if the noise goes away you have found your problem, if not get back to me.  Hope this helps you and God Bless!
