Suzuki: power, throttle position sensor, suzuki escudo

Question
QUESTION: I have a suzuki escudo model 1996, the engine starts well or ignites but it does not raise or build power to accelerate and take off.

ANSWER: It will be necessary to verify that the fuel pressure, cam and ignition timing, and all the basic settings are correct.  Check those that are easiest first.  Make certain you have access to a factory service manual, in order to be able to do the measurements and settings correctly.
It's exactly the same thing a mechanic would do.  The only advantage for the mechanic is that in some cases after solving a problem numerous times, it is possible to almost immediately link the symptom, and the "feel" of the vehicle to the problem.  That's just the result of many years of experience, and a good memory.
My immediate suspicion is that if the cam timing belt is getting old and loose, it may have jumped a tooth or two.  In that case it would still run, but have very low power output.  The symptoms fit, and that's my first thought.

QUESTION: The timing belt was replaced with other parts and the computer check shows no fault but the car wouldn't take off but starts well.

Answer
The throttle position sensor sends a signal back to the computer that shows the throttle has been opened, and the computer initially enriches the fuel mixture to improve initial acceleration.  I am somewhat suspicious of that device. It has caused difficulties for others.

Sometimes, all that a technician can do is - one device at a time measure values, and verify function until the malfunctioning device is found.

Not fancy science, but careful persistence.
