Suzuki: 1997 Suzuki Sidekick, suzuki sidekick, driveshafts

Question
I am looking at a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick w/ Auto trans. Can this be towed behind a motorhome without much modifications.  Thanks, Bob

Answer
In order to tow it, you will have to remove the front and rear driveshafts at the differentials.
It's pretty easy, only four bolts for each one, and then, using bungee cords, tie them up out of the way.  Another plus is that this will not cause the odometer to reflect the miles you have towed it.
No more than an hour to get it ready to tow, and another to make it driveable again.

Flat towing without disconnecting the driveshafts will burn up expensive transmission internal parts.
