Suzuki: 91 suzuki sidekick, fuel pump relay, suzuki side kick

Question
I have a 91 suzuki side kick with a 1.6L, fuel injected motor.  I think that I am having a grounding problem but can't find it.  When I turn the key to on I get power to my main relay but it will not pull in because there is not ground on the other side of the coil, same problem with the fuel pump relay.  If I connect the negitive side of the relay coils to ground they will pull in and the fuel pump will run but the engine will not fire, I checked my injecter coil and having the same problem with having no continuity to ground.  I checked and replaced my main ground from the battery to the frame.  It looks to me like everything is grounded through the ECM but the scimatic that I have is not realy very helpful.  If you have any ideas what to try or what might be wrong it would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.

Answer
There has to be an equally good ground to the block of the motor.

The only truly useful schematic is in the factory manual for that make and model.

The ecm in almost every Japanese vehicle does apply ground to actuate peripherals, that's how it's done the world over.

Get a factory manual.
