Suzuki: samurai, fueleconomy gov, sidekicks

Question
i am looking to buy a samurai 89, i need a cheap on gas truck that is good 4x4 because i live in a small town with mountains all around, but i need it for daily driving too is it okay for that i know people say it an offraoad not an on road, but i dont live in a big city or anything. my tracker broke down a week ago and i cant find one for cheap again. is it as good on gas as the tracker?  saw on fueleconomy.gov that it was better but i dont know if its true. also do they have back seats all the pictures i see i cant tell and did they make a 2wd samurai in 89 because the one im looking at didnt say if it was 4x4 or not, i just assume it is. thanks. sorry for such a long question.

Answer
Just look under the front end, and you should see an axle shaped like the rear one.  Or look at the front wheels.  Are there 4wd hubs?

Samurais are fine, just slower than sidekicks.

As far as I know they all originally had back seats.

Samurais usually get about 30 mpg.
