Suzuki: 95 Sidekick, throttle position sensor, battery connections

Question
QUESTION: My sidekick started to lose power very sudden, jerky like I was running out of gas, it would make a clicking noise under the dash right as it would jerk. I checked the cel codes it reads code 12 no issues. Sometimes when I start it it clicks also, not sure what causes it. I will be driving and al of a sudden it clicks and loses power , sometimes it will do it several times in a row, then it will seem fine. Any help would be appreciated.

ANSWER: I suspect dirty/corroded battery connections

QUESTION: My tach also drops and it always does this when the clicking sound under my dash happens. When I take my foot of the gas pedal when the tach is jumping up and down the tach goes right back to where it should be.

Answer
I had an 89 that had similar issues.  In that particular case it was the tps (throttle position sensor).

It was quite a pain until I got a FACTORY manual, and adjusted it according to the factory procedure.  It was also a symptom of a marginal tps.  It failed completely about 4 months later.

Seriously....get a factory manual.  The others are less than half the manual.
