Tips on Buying Cars: salvaged car, salvage cars, salvage title

Question
I just bought a 1987 honda accord lx-i at an auction for 250 dollars. I found out as I was driving down the street that the transmission does not go in reverse. I also found out LATER at the dmv that the car has a salvage title. The car has 224,000 miles on it. My question is should I get rid of it now or would it be worth it to spend money to fix the transmission and possible axle (it makes a noise when i make turns)

Answer
Hi Tony
You learned a lesson about buying a car at an Auction and be happy you only got burned for $250. instead of thousands.
go to this web page on my website to understand Auctions and Salvage cars    http://www.usedcartips.org/AUCTIONS.html  enter the 17 Vin #;s in the Carfax banner its free and you will most likely see the vehicle had issues, I highly recommend you join for a month so you will be able to check every vehicle before getting burned again.

Don't spend a nickel on the vehicle, send it back to an auction or take it to a scrap yard.

Study my website before you buy another car.
