QUESTION: I'm attending UC Davis and I'm working as a lab assistant at the Botany Department for 7.5 an hour. During school year I work 10 hours per week. I don't plan to get any loans, I just want to do the regular monthly payment thing. I didn't know I was supposed to pay a down payment because the monthly rates I see online are assuming 0 downpayment aren't they?

Answer
hi,
with no money to put down, and only $75.00 per week, it would be very difficult to be approved for a loan. If someone will co-sign for you, that will help greatly, if that is impossible, you can go to www.capitalone.com and apply online for a loan. But look at the questions very carefully, if your credit is excellent , you may squeak thru. Let me know how it all goes. good luck
