Tips on Buying Cars: Used SUV, awd vehicles, cadillac srx

I am considering a 2005 V-6 Cadillac SRX All Wheel Drive, which has 18,000 miles on it. I don't know much about its ratings. Another option is to find another AWD which might be a good trip car as well. I already have a 2001 Forrester which I really like.

Well the subaru you have now is a good car, as for the caddy... it is probably going to be more expensive and lesser quality than a comprable european/japanese car... its a cadillac... you dont buy them because they are great cars, you buy them because they are cadillacs... I assume you are up north and need the AWD for snow/icey roads? whats wrong with the forrester??? or do you just need a second car? are you looking for a car or small SUV? if just a car... In similar fashion, I know infinity makes some nice AWD models, same for Audi... Mazda recently released an AWD turbocharged SUV that is a great vehicle.. I say check "consumerguide.com", look at all new/used AWD vehicles in your price range... If you want me to recommend some, i need to know exactly what you are looking for... if its a car or suv... what size... what price? what are you using it for? how much will it need to carry, how many? etc.. then I can give you a better idea...  I'm sure the caddy will be a fine car, it wont be great.. but alright.. shop around some more first.. you may find something better for less... write back if you have any other questions.. thanks!
