Tips on Buying Cars: dealer mechanics, e mail address, saab 93

Question
Hi Ray - Would you advise having a third party mechanic inspect a car that is being sold under warranty at a dealership?  Alot of places make a big deal about their multi-point certified pre-owned inpections, so is it necessary to have an independant look at it?  Will the dealership ask for an intent to purchase deposit before they let it go? I'm currently looking at Saab 93's (risky, I know) and want to be careful. Thanks! Ben

Answer
Hi Ben
This mail makes me smile...the dealer dont want you taking vehicle to third party as you will most likely come back with what is known in the industry as a shopping list...
Forget their crap about a multi point inspection, you will take car to a mechanic of your choice,or you dont buy
