Tips on Buying Cars: Finding a good used Car, road worthy, private source

Hello I was wondering how many miles is too many miles on a used car?....I want a car i can use for about a year or two.  Also do u know anywhere I can find a car for under $1000?

For what your trying to find miles is not a factor, condition and overall performance should be your # 1 factor

some cars will go 70 to 100 thousand miles and then toast, yet others will never stop till the body becomes an eye sore for the owner

As for buying a car for under $ 1000. in todays market thats certified road worthy is a longshot, mind you i have seen it happen a many times over the years...its never been from a dealer always from a private source...and the only way it will happen is if you come across someome not in need anymore or trading for a newer vehicle
