Dealership did all the paperwork for the used vehicle i am purchasing through the credit union and my mother as a co-signer. I stated to them my mother has Friday free to come to the dealership to signed paperwork.   They let me take the car home since i purchased full insurance for it and signed all documents. That night the dealership came to my job stating he got in trouble for letting me drive off the lot without my mothers signature.  He wanted me to take him to her home and get signatures and it would take only 5 min.  Of course she said no and it will have to wait.  They have been calling me and my mom at work for signatures.  We are returning the vehicle but i want my $30.00 deposit i gave them to open a account with the  credit union.

Hi Victor and thanks for the question.  Since you state that the Thirty Dollars is for opening an account at the Credit Union I would think the refund would have to come from them.  Consider yourself lucky if you are only out such a small amount.  Best of luck.  Bud
I guess what I am asking is do I have any rights and was there any thing illeagal that the salesman may have done.

Answer
Victor, any rights you have would be with the Credit Union.  In my opinion the salesman did not do anything illegal.  Maybe he made too many decisions on his own without management approval, but not illegal.  Best of luck with whatever vehicle you end up purchasing.  Bud
