Tips on Buying Cars: convertible buying, shipping, Carmax, auto shipper, chicago winters

Question
Hi
(1) I want to buy a used convertible; maybe 35K miles or less; range $10K to 20K.  No corvettes--don't care about speed. Chicago winters require front wheel drive. What reliable make/models do you suggest?
(2) If i buy online, how much will it cost me to use an auto shipper to deliver it to me?
(3)Do  you like Carmax?
Thank

Answer
Hi Michael
If your looking for a small convertible, Mazda is a good choice and mid size Sunfire...in full size the Sebring is an excellent choice...
RE...shipping...on the Carmax website there is a link as to cost shipping...if thats the way you end up buying be sure to have shipping cost incl in price before making final decision...
RE...do i like Carmax...
Buying a car is a huge investment...and i would never buy a car from anyone sight un-seen or without a test drive...and at same time doing some homework as to getting fair value for my bucks...
When you find a car you like then give me details as to how  much...miles...location...private or dealer...and i will guide you from that point making sure your getting valid value
