Tips on Buying Cars: fuel injection, port fuel injection, hyundai accent

I drive a new 2004 Hyundai Accent. This car has multi-port fuel injection. This car is the first car that I have ever driven that has fuel injection. When it is below zero in the morning should I depress or hold down the gas pedal while I am turning the ignition on? Thank you for your response. Al Brown

Depress the pedal but do NOT pump the accelerator as this will cause the vehicle to flood.  Fuel injection will take care of the proper mixture as long as you hold the pedal down a little.  As you get more accustomed to the vehicle you will find the proper pressure to use.  BRRRRRRRR--below Zero?  Sure glad I live in Florida.  Thanks for the question.
