Tips on Buying Cars: buying a van, dodge vans, chry

Question
Ray,
you sound like the one who can help me:

i am in the market for a used van. something with some room in the back for sleeping, not any heavy traveling; just mostly city.  i have seen quite a few adds in the paper from private's that seem good. i am looking to spend about $2500, hopefully about a 1996.

i have seen adds for mostly fords and a few dodge vans. what would you recommend for that price?

and as you said, prevent getting a lemon. i know about the important things to check but do not know how to check them???

any help would be great

thanks.

Answer
Hi Leah
If i went shopping with $ 2500. in my pocket and wanted a Van...my first concern would be finding something that fits my wants...

from there at that price range i would not care if its a Ford Chry or any make...

Condition is the main factor...will my purchase last my investment ?...

This is where some homework and steps come to play...$ 2500. is a fair chunk lets make sure your getting valid value...

Go to my website   www.usedvehiclefacts.ca   click on Test Drive...been in accident ?...take to mechanic   etc...

now find the Van you may consider and fill me in with detail before buying...
PS...you never mentioned what area your from ?
Regards
