Audio Systems: Car stereo, stereo sound, model number

Question
My stereo sound cuts out after a certain volume. The unit is still on but no sound. I have to turn it off and on to regain the sound. Any idea?

Hello Lance,
Most likely something is wrong with one or more on the speaker connections. If too many, or if speakers are connected with the feeds and returns crossed if you turn up the volume high the overload circuit will cut off the amplifiers. Double check your connections to the speakers and also give me the model number of this stereo.
