Tips on Buying Cars: Getting a quote on the Internet, independent broker, new cars

Question
I hate shopping for new cars.  I hate haggling for prices.  I'm no good at it and I always feel like I'm getting ripped off.  I wish car buying could be like anything else; they just tell you the price and you pay it.  Anyway, I'm shopping for a new car and I've been poking around on the Internet.  I noticed that several manufacturers have a "get-a-quote" feature that lets you "build" the new car on the Internet and the hooks you up with a local dealer.  Are these things a good idea?  Once I "get-a-quote" from the Internet, am I locked into that?  Is there still room for negotiation?  Do the dealers realize that their selling costs are much lower on the Internet and adjust their prices downward as a result?  Or do they figure that anybody that would get a quote on the Internet is a sucker and adjust their prices up?  What do you think?

Answer
1.  you are never locked in til you sign a contract and pay money to perfect the contract.  Is there room for futhere negotiation, sure there is.  You just have to fine the best price for the buyer YOU, and the seller THEM and agree to it.  Or you can go to and independent broker whol will do all ot the negotiating for you.  Thanks, Bujd
